EBI Neutrino R1 User Management

User Management 

With the User Management module is possible to managing EBI Neutrino R1 users.

The first thing that the Administrator of EBI Neutrino R1 should do before let start other user working with the system is to change the default root user password with another one. This will guarantee that no other people will be able to change settings and some other important configuration on your system.

The user management panel offers seven inputs for create new user and editing existing one. There are two text fields, two radio buttons and three check boxes components.

The two text fields are used to capturing the user name and password.

The two radio buttons allow administrator to set the user privilege. If you select the radio button “Non Superuser” the created user will effort to give a password any time they would edit records.

If you like to have a user that only have privilege to save, view and delete records, you could avoid this problem with the three check boxes that give the possibility to the “Non Superuser” the right to save, delete or print the edited record. With the system toolbar you store the data and navigate back to the workstation. The last component in this form is the table of available users.

In the available user table you can view the information such as name, who has created the record and changed, which privilege the available user have. By selecting the record it will be loaded into the User Management form, which makes it ready for editing.

 

The Root Password dialog it is visible if the user hasn’t enough privilege to save, view or delete records.

To execute the preferred functionality the administrator must insert the root password otherwise the “Non Superuser” will not be able to execute the functionality, also this dialog will helping prevent other users to damage the working system.
